PYRENEX

Perched on the first foothills of the Pyrenees, the village of Saint-Sever is where the story of Pyrenex first began. Founded in 1859, this family-run business has a long history as specialists in down and feathers, with Abel Crabos collecting duck and goose feathers from local markets and farms in the region.

In 1940 the first down jackets were made and exported to protect prisoners of war, laying the foundations for what would become the iconic brand we know today. Generation after generation joined the business, sharing the same values of authenticity, well-being and naturalness that came before them, and over the years the family expanded their production to create items such as bedding, sleeping bags, and accessories; creating their first technical mountaineering down jacket in the late 60s.

In 1980 the Authentic Jacket was born; an iconic product bearing all the DNA and know-how of Pyrenex, and we have since seen a move in a more fashion-forward direction, collaborating with major fashion designers, and focusing on their RTW collections alongside their other products.

All Pyrenex’s down jackets and parkas are generously filled with natural French upcycled down, and incorporate an exceptional fit and fashionable look, without compromising on performance.
